How to install the MKC app

On an Android phone, in 5 easy steps. Your phone will show some warnings. That is normal: the app is safe, it’s only because it doesn’t come from the Play Store.

DownloadדאונלאודYou need a free MKC account (name and email). If you’re not logged in, we ask first.
מען דארף אן אומזיסטע MKC אקאונט (נאמען און אימעיל). אויב איר זענט נישט איינגעשריבן, פרעגט מען פריער.

Tap Download

The file downloads. It’s small. If Chrome says File might be harmful, tap Download anyway.

Open the file
עפנט די פייל
When it finishes, tap Open. Missed it? Pull down your notifications and tap mkc.apk, or open the Files app → Downloads → mkc.apk.

Allow installing
ערלויבט אינסטאלירן
If your phone says it is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source, tap Settings. Turn on Allow from this source, then go back.

You do this only once.

Tap Install
דריקט Install
Tap Install. If Play Protect says Unsafe app blocked, or that it doesn’t recognise the app, tap More details 1 and then Install anyway 2.

It is safe. Android warns only because MKC isn’t from the Play Store. If it asks to send the app for scanning, either answer is fine.
עס איז זיכער. אנדרויד ווארנט נאר ווייל MKC קומט נישט פונעם Play Store. אויב עס פרעגט צו שיקן די עפ צו טשעקן (scan), מעג מען ענטפערן ווי מען וויל.

Open MKC
עפנט MKC
Tap Open. Next time, find the MKC icon on your home screen or in your list of apps.
דריקט Open. דאס קומענדיגע מאל, געפינט דעם MKC אייקאן אויפן היים־סקרין אדער אין די ליסטע פון עפס.
🔁 After every update: the same warnings again

Each time you update the app (menu ☰ → Updates), Android shows these warnings again. Tap Install / Update. If Play Protect blocks it, tap More details → Install anyway. That is normal, and your settings stay.

Good to know
גוט צו וויסן
- Samsung: the file is in My Files → Downloads. Some words can be a little different, like Install unknown apps. The steps are the same.
- “App not installed”? Download it again (the download may have stopped in the middle) and check there is free space on the phone. You don’t need to delete an older MKC app: a new version installs over it.
- No Play Store needed. New versions come inside the app: menu ☰ → Updates.
- Your phone may look a little different from these pictures.
